Winter Florals

Melissa + Lowell | 12.11.21
These two were hoping for a sparkling + serene white snowscape the day of their wedding but life doesn’t always go according to plan, as we all know! The extreme wind and rain relocated the bridal pics to Winesburg Farm and I’d say Plan B was pretty beautiful! Melissa chose a cascading bouquet with white and blue flowers including Playa Blanca roses, Majolica spray roses, eryngium thistles, anemone, privet berries, delphinium, and tweedia. The bridesmaids carried lanterns instead of traditional bouquets, which was perfect for a wintery wedding! Melissa + Lowell have quite the love story and this day was a delightful celebration of the journey! Congratulations and best wishes for…

Lauren + John | 11.21.20 | Rivercrest Farm
This lovely couple’s wedding was originally planned for June 2021 but after a venue change and two date changes they made a sudden decision to move it forward to their original wedding date in November as a micro wedding–can’t say I blame them! Apparently it was the right thing to do, because even at last minutes’ notice, all of the original vendors were able to join forces to pull off a beautiful wedding at Rivercrest! Here’s proof that you can have beautiful flowers if you’re flexible and okay with what’s fresh and available at the moment. I was out of state at the time Lauren texted me about the change…

Regina + Andrew | 11.23.19 | Encore Hall
I loved working with Gina from the first phone call where she used all of her charm to convince me to take on a wedding the weekend before Thanksgiving. She let me worry about the nitty gritty details, as long as there was plenty of greens and white flowers! She also guessed me to be about 18 when we met, so she will always be one of my favorites! Their day turned out beautiful—even if it was super cold and windy for the pics! Her bouquet featured garden roses, ranunculus, freesia, lisianthus, anemones, eucalyptus, nagi, ferns, and gardenia greens. Congratulations, Gina + Andrew! I wish you both the very best…

Haillie + Bracy | 03.02.19
What a sweet couple Haillie and Bracy are! They got married in my home stomping grounds of Sugarcreek. Haillie has such an elegant + simple style about her and her wedding florals reflected that. Some of you may recognize the gorgeous bride, Haillie, as a barista from a coffee shop in the community. When she contacted me for her late-winter wedding florals she requested that everything be kept simple. Florists will not usually fight you on this request! 🙂 She chose lavender, purple, and white for her flowers and requested lavender and lilacs. Some other elements included ranunculus, eucalyptus, anemone, peonies, and olive greens. I don’t know if I’ve ever…

Katrina + Rylan | 01.26.18
We were honored to work with this couple for our first wedding of 2018. Katrina is Charity’s niece by marriage and she fell in love with a young man from Iowa after meeting him at a youth camp. She chose green and silver as her colors and used fresh-clipped pine and pinecones throughout the decor, setting the tone for a beautiful winter wedding. The weather was unseasonably warm for January, hitting a high of 50° by the time the music began! Katrina was absolutely stunning! Her bouquet featured peonies, ranunculus, spray roses, privet berry, eucalyptus, juniper, and small pinecones. Congratulations Katrina and Rylan! All photos by Small Moments Photography.…
