Fall Wedding Florals

Callie + Eric | 10.2.21
There’s something about autumm weddings…the air is a little crisper, the sky a little bluer…and this October was no exception! Caylie + Eric picked a beautiful fall day to say their vows in the cutest boho style. Soft neutrals, pampas grass, and dried flowers set the tone for the big day. Dahlias, roses, statice, limonium, olive, bunny tail grass, eucalyptus, bleached ferns, and dried palm fans were included in her bridal bouquet. Caylie was so sweet and easy to please—that always makes the florist’s job easy! Congratulations to the happy couple! Photos by Julia Kaiser Photography

Emily + Mike | 10.23.21
This cute couple met at the gym and things took off from there! Their big day was cold and windy but when you’re in love that’s just a minor issue, right? I love all these pics captured by the lovely @smallmomentsphotography. Emily wanted a bouquet with lots of texture and greens so I used roses, stock, astrantia, spiral and willow eucalyptus, limonium, asparagus fern, olive, and leatherleaf fern. And can we agree on how pretty her dress is? Love everything about it! Congratulations to these newlyweds—hope you two are loving married life and I wish you a long + happy life together!

Marlene + Darrin | 10.8.21
“When I saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew.” —Arrigo BoitoI don’t know if these two experienced love at first sight, but I do know they first met when he delivered furniture to her parents’ house, so let’s just assume that’s the way it happened. 😍Marlene chose blush and burgundy as her color palette and I was able to finally use my favorite blush roses again after months of only wishing for them due to a blush rose shortage. Other flowers used included burgundy garden roses, lisianthus, spray roses, chocolate Queen Anne’s lace, along with ruscus, eucalyptus, and hypericum berries. What a beautiful couple and what…

Erin + Frank | 9.4.21
Can’t stop looking at this gallery! Erin + Frank are total couple goals and their wedding day was a beautiful celebration of two souls in love. What a gorgeous bride Erin was! I loved working with her…she is truly beautiful from the inside out and I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter client! Her bouquet included Mother of Pearl roses, local flowers—including lisianthus, dahlias, and hanging amaranth—and leucadendron, eucalyptus, and ruscus. The palette of burgundy and blush was a perfect transition from summer to fall. The ceremony and reception also included southern smilax which is one of my personal favorites for stairways and arches. Congratulations, Erin + Frank! I hope…

Bianca + Matt | 10.30.20 | Old Stone Chapel/Gervasi Vineyard
Bianca and Matt got married on a chilly and windy day at the end of October. I’m sure all the vendors will remember setting up with the wind whipping through the venue. 🙂 But the wedding and reception made up for all that and I know all the guests would agree that it was a beautiful and fun evening filled with joy and laughter and a few happy tears, as well! Bianca chose a muted/neutral palette for the flowers with lots of dried elements for a modern boho feel. She had orchids in her bouquet and sprinkled throughout the reception and since it was the first time I had ever…

Lauretta + Matt | 10.24.20 | Encore Hall
Lauretta + Matt chose a warm + windy October day to tie the knot at Encore Hall and it was such an honor designing the florals for their fall wedding. Lauretta is one of the sweetest people we have ever worked with and her kind, generous, and appreciative personality makes her beautiful inside and out. Her modern boho style and eye for detail made this wedding delightfully on point in every way! Lauretta requested a large cascading bouquet and lots of greenery; the flower lineup included Quicksand roses, local dahlias, astilbe, white garden roses, eucalyptus, and nagi greens. There was lots of pampas grass involved as well! (On a side note,…

Jodi + Alex | 09.18.20
Jodi + Alex got married in the cutest backyard wedding on a brisk Friday morning in September at 9 AM. At first, I was like, who does that? But when I heard the 7:00 fire crackling and saw the coffee and donuts being set out pre-wedding, with the birds twittering in the background, I decided this is *actually* how to get married. This couple was so eager to go take sunrise pics, they almost forgot the bouquet and boutonniere and had to turn around to come get them! The bride selected a classic round white rose bouquet and an arch (which her dad made) loaded with flowers. Isn’t Jodi simply…

Alexis + Philip | 10.19.19 | Malabar Farm
Alexis and Philip were the sweetest couple to work with and actually were the first where the groom-to-be attended the floral consultation. They chose a classic fall palette for their October 19 wedding and thankfully, the frost held off long enough to grant us one more round of delicious dahlias to use! Alexis asked for acorns to be used in the boutonnieres and bouquets and they were such a cute and unique element! Fun fact: due to a family obligation of mine on the day of the wedding, the bride’s sister-in-law Alyssa (@eliotandcompany) picked up the flowers AND did the arch herself (plus many other decor details)! I just gave…

Renita + Koby | 09.14.19 | Doughty Creek
Renita and Koby had a lovely outdoor wedding with boho vibes and the fluffiest pampas grass. I loved her boho-chic style and her decor was perfect. Renita chose a palette of blues and blush with pops of burgundy. Her flowers included dahlias, Quicksand roses, spray roses, anemones, rice flower, sweet Annie, and eucalyptus. What an adorable wedding and equally adorable couple! Thanks for choosing Petal + Stem for your wedding florals! We hope your happily-ever-after is everything you could’ve hoped for and more! Cassidy + Zachary | 09.08.19 | The Tudor House
If you get married, get married like Cass + Zach did: by a lake on a warm, cloudy September day, in a small, intimate wedding with close friends and family, complete with a personal letter for each guest by their plate, a soft pretzel bar, Starbucks coffee on tap, and a boat sendoff. They are literally the most authentic, joyful, intentional couple ever, and that was exactly what their wedding was. I may have shed a tear or two just scrolling through their wedding photos—you can just feel allll the emotions of their day! Cassidy was the third and final Widder sister to hire Petal + Stem for wedding florals…
